So I admit, it has been a while since my last blog post. But, it has been a whirlwind of a year. About a year ago at this time, we would have never guessed we would be living in Denver. Although it was a quick move, it has been a great adventure. We got moved into our new home a few months ago and we are well adjusted to our new environment, as you can tell...
Jerome is LOVING his job with the Colorado Department of Transportation and I am enjoying being out of school after finishing my Doctorate of Nursing Practice in December 2010. It is a strange feeling to not have any homework that I have to do. One of the first things I did was read the entire Twilight series. These were the most entertaining books I have read in 1o years! Jerome and I see each weekend as vacation: we have been traveling to different areas in Colorado such as Steamboat, Garden of the Gods, Estes Park, Vail, and various parks. We have a Denver hike book of the 30 best hikes... and we plan to complete ALL of them. We have checked through quite a few already. The picture below is from one of our hikes in Roxborough park, which is about 20 minutes from our home...
We have enjoyed many friends and family who have come to visit us! Although we love Colorado, I am quick to admit that we miss our friends and family. We are slowly meeting more people here as we become more involved in social activities, volunteering, church, etc.
