A few months gone by...

Things have been extremely busy... but for the better! Jerome and I just returned from our annual cold weather get-away. This year we went on a cruise of western Mexico! We had an exciting trip. First, our plane had a large dent in the side of it from the jetway hitting it. The pilot saw it and the plane was marked as unflyable. The 6 hour delay would make us late for our ship, so we took a plane to Cabo San Lucus. Thank God for cruise insurance, we were able to stay in the suite at at all inclusive resort- the Riu Palace. SO NICE! We had a blast for two days and got on our ship when it arrived in the port. We then continued on to Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, and LA. In 7 days we partied like rock stars (literally, for more info contact me :c), rode mules, hiked to a mountain peak, went ziplining, repelled down waterfalls, took a catamaran to a private beach, ate the BEST FOOD EVER, laid at the pool side, swam, saw interesting creatures, and much more.

Jerome and I have continued on in studies... he is enrolled in one masters course this semester and I am in 5 doctorate courses! We added a new dog to the family... she is the sweetest thing ever and her and Xena get along great. It is fun to have a 65 pound snuggler.

About 3 weeks ago my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. We are in the process of choosing a course of action to conquer. Within 6 months both of my parents have faced this battle. I hate cancer.

Anyway, I will update again in a few months!

Love, Krista and Jerome

  1. First of all, I'm so sorry to hear that your mom has to deal with breast cancer. It sounds like she has a great advocate in you, and I know you will help pick the best treatment for her.
Your trip looks like it was so much fun! I haven't been able to look at all the pictures on my dial-up connection (yes, we are in the dinosaur age around here), but I am really looking forward to seeing them. The ones I have seen look fabulous! Take care!
